Our candle project began after encountering several illegal glass landfills in the Cancun Jungle. We devised a way to reuse these resources while cleaning the jungle.
Wine and liquor bottles undergo a process of washing, cutting, sanding, and a second wash to then become a soy wax-based aromatherapy candle with a cotton wick.
We do not use artificial or synthetic colorants or fragrances. Only essential oils, which may vary depending on the candle batch:
*SPECIAL HOLIDAY EDITION*: HAPPY HOLIDAYS - Cinnamon Bark* (organic) and Cinnamon Leaf, Guatemalan Cardamom, Clove Leaf and Clove Bud, Organic Fresh* and Dried* Ginger, Brazilian Tonka Bean (exotic) with its characteristic vanilla-like scent, its main constituent is coumarin.
Happiness: Lemongrass, Eucalyptus, Peppermint, Verbena & Lavender
Hippie Chic: Bergamot and Tangerine from Italy, Ylang Ylang from Comoros and Indonesia, & Patchouli: Indonesian aged 5 years, Dark, Light, Double Distilled, and Java.
Chai: Cinnamon, Clove, Cardamom, Ginger, and a touch of Turmeric and Fenugreek.
*The color of the glass bottle may vary depending on what is found in the area of the jungle to be cleaned, but most are green, amber, or clear glass bottles.
VERY IMPORTANT Note: Aromatherapy is subtle and beneficial physically and spiritually, bringing states of calm and comfort. If you want a candle that WILL STINK UP YOUR ENTIRE HOUSE and give you a BLAST of scent to your Olfactory Bulb, this is not that candle. Those candles abound in synthetic ingredients that release toxic fumes. Due to ignorance, it is believed that an Aromatherapy candle should be equivalent to one with synthetic fragrances, and this IS NOT THE CASE. Sometimes essential oils and synthetic fragrances are even mixed to lower costs because 100% pure Aromatherapy candles ARE EXPENSIVE IN RAW MATERIALS.
Our candles SMELL A LOT, but the nose must be trained to subtle energies. If you have a nose overstimulated by habit to synthetic fragrances, these candles may "disappoint" you. If you value natural, subtle, REAL things, if synthetic fragrances cause you headaches, rhinitis, and you feel out of breath near those overly penetrating smells, this candle is for you.
Contains approximately 350 gr of wax with an approximate duration of 100 hours of use. Each candle contains 6% essential oil, which is A LOT. To give you an idea, a 350-gram candle contains 21 milliliters of Essential Oils.
It would be very easy for me to buy new jars and tins and fill them with rich and very penetrating wax and fragrances, BUT THAT DOES NOT ALIGN WITH MY PHILOSOPHY OR VALUES. Thank you.
